A live internet connection is required — Flux streams market data continuously. Cached charts and saved layouts stay readable offline.
What's new.
Desktop ships on a two-week cadence. Every build is signed, and you can pin to the previous version from Settings → Updates.
Fixed a chart redraw stall when waking a Mac from sleep with four workspaces open. Order-ladder scroll now keeps the mid price pinned.
Multi-monitor workspaces: save a per-session layout and restore it on launch. Adds RSI divergence markers and a compact depth view.
Backtest replay is roughly 40% faster on long ranges. Fixed duplicate push alerts when the same signal fired on two engines.
Flux AI chat moved into the terminal sidebar, so you can ask about the symbol you're looking at without leaving the chart.
Risk engine now gates live orders before they leave the client. Added Linux .AppImage builds and hardware-accelerated rendering on Windows.

Is it free?
The apps are free to download and the Scout plan costs nothing, with no card required. Trader and Desk unlock unlimited signals, live order routing and the AI agents — see pricing. The download itself is never the paywall.
Do I need a broker?
Not to start. Paper trading, every engine and all the research work without one. You only connect a broker when you want orders to reach the market — Flux is not a broker-dealer and never takes custody of your funds. Your keys stay yours.
Does the mobile app do everything desktop does?
Close, but not all of it. Charting, screening, alerts, paper trading, order entry and Flux AI are all there. The order ladder, time-and-sales tape and multi-monitor workspaces are desktop-only — they need the screen space to be useful.
Is my data private?
Your watchlists, positions and chat history belong to your account and are not sold or shared. Broker credentials are stored encrypted and are never visible to us in plain text. You can export or delete everything from Settings → Data at any time.
How do updates work?
Flux Desktop checks for a signed update on launch and applies it in the background; you'll be asked before it restarts. Mobile updates come through the App Store or Play Store. Web is always current. You can pin to the previous desktop build if a release breaks a workflow.
